These are good.  I need to make them rise a little better, but they are yummy even when flat.  Make them a little wider and these are great to top Chicken Pot Pie, or Steak and Mushroom Pot Pie.  :)

3 c flour
1 1/2 t salt
1 T sugar
1 T baking powder
1 stick butter
3/4 c buttermilk
1 egg
1/4 c water or less

Combine flour, sugar, salt, powder and butter until crumbly.  Mix in buttermilk, egg and just enough water to make workable dough (handmix).  Mix until barely combined.  Roll onto floured board about 1.5 inch thick.  Cut with a 2 inch cutter or glass.  Place on greased baking sheet and bake at 425 for 12-15 minutes.
