Peanut Butter Banana Bread

1/2 c crunchy peanut butter
1/3 c shortening
3 bananas
2/3 c sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 c flour
2 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
1/4 t baking soda
1/4 c buttermilk

Mix peanut butter, shortening and bananas well.  Add sugar, then one egg at a time.  Add in dry ingredients.  Then mix in buttermilk until just mixed.

Preheat oven to 325.  Pour batter into 1 loaf pan or 12 cupcake pans.  Cook 40 mins (loaf) or 18 mins (cupcakes) or until done.  Let cool in pan for 5-10 mins, then turn out onto a wire rack and let cool completely.
